Most of our beads follow the Anglican tradition, with a cross and then a beginning or entry bead, and with four sections, and seven connector beads within each section. Within the Anglican tradition, these beads are often used with a mantra that is repeated as the praying person makes his or her way around the circle of beads.
Some of our comfort beads vary more from the Anglican tradition, most frequently by replacing the cross with either a symbol specific to one's spirituality, or with a more general symbol of spirituality (such as a heart or butterfly). |

Praise for our comfort beads from caregivers:
"I offered a set of comfort beads to my elderly grandmother as her health was failing, and she connected with it, holding it tightly in her hand..." (Jan)
"My sister who has life-threatening cancer is using her comfort beads daily, as a means of strengthening her prayer life in this time of need." (Ann)
"I especially like my comfort beads that include a serpentine Andean Cross, symbolizing balance, as its beginning point." (Sue)
"I just like to hold my comfort beads in my hand, as I do my morning prayers..." (Bill) |
